Digital Image Processing for Rapid Mapping

Dr. Laercio Namikawa - INPE

Remote Sensing images provide essential information for disaster response to be used in a wide range of applications, from operational planning to lessons learned. The course objective is to demonstrate how free open software and free open data are used to map disaster response targets, such as flooded areas and regions affected by landslides. Terraview and images from CBERS-4, CBERS-4A and AMAZONIA-1 satellites will be used in this course.
