December 1st - Tuesday December 2nd - Wednesday December 3rd - Thursday Demonstration: Tools & DatasetsThe Geoinfo 2020 Demonstration session complements the overall program of the Symposium. It is designed to provide an exciting and highly interactive way to present: Tools for storing, processing, analyzing and visualizing spatial and spatio-temporal data. Datasets that have the potential to increase research efficiency and quality. This is an excellent opportunity to advertise the applicability of the developed tool and to obtain feedback from the community in geoinformatics. The Demonstration papers should be related to the topics of interest of the main conference track. The session is focused on academic and research software and data, and it is not intended for the demonstration of commercial products. Instructions for Submission
Submitted papers must describe the main features of the tool (or dataset) and must be no more than 3 (three) pages long. This page limit include all parts of the paper: title, abstract, body (with figures), and references. The paper will be evaluated by the Program Committee based on its originality, practical scope, technical contribution and presentation.
Authors should provide a link to the online version of the tool OR a link to a screencast video describing the tool or dataset. The video must be no more than 4 (four) minutes long. This artifact will be considered in the review process.
There are templates available for OpenOffice, MS-Word, or LaTeX, however, papers must be submitted in PDF format. Other formats will not be accepted.
Papers can be written in Portuguese or English (preferably), made in accordance with the SBC guidelines (download templates and guidelines here).
The link to the online version or screencast video must be informed in the first page's footer, and must be cited in the text body (also in the first page).
For paper submission, we use the web-based conference management system. Authors should create an account and submit the abstract to obtain an "id" and a "password" to access the system. Using these, authors should proceed their article submission according to the instructions received by e-mail.
We require at least one author to register and attend the conference. Accepted papers will be published in the Proceedings of Geoinfo Demos. Presentation

To compose this exhibition, a poster must also be made available. The guidelines for preparing the posters will be sent to the authors of the accepted papers. One of the authors must attend the event to present the paper and the tool. Authors must use their own equipment (including laptops) during the sessions. |
